Silver: 18 townhomes in Fairview
Silver is a collection of 18 townhomes at 1250 West 6th Avenue, in Vancouver’s Fairview neighbourhood. Completed in 2003 and now sold out, it stands out for its bold, modern design.
Baldwin Architecture designed Silver with metal siding, split-face concrete block and dramatic floor-to-ceiling windows, a striking departure from the traditional townhome. The concrete block walls between homes provide soundproofing. Homes are stacked and interlocked in a split-level design, so every home has city and mountain views and its own roof deck.
Granville Island, the shops of South Granville and the seawall are all close by, and downtown is just across the bridge.
