Transit Routes: Ride the Canada Line into Downtown Vancouver

April 29, 2014

Our Oak Townhomes are conveniently located within walking distance of two main SkyTrain stations, which makes getting around town a breeze. TransLink’s Canada Line is the third line in our metro network, serving Vancouver, Richmond, and the Vancouver International Airport. The line begins in Downtown Vancouver at Waterfront Station, and stretches all the way to YVR-Airport and Richmond. We want you to get to know our neighbourhood transit stations, so you can spend less time commuting, and more time enjoying your destination.

Located on Cambie Street at West 41st Avenue, the Oakridge-41st Avenue Station can be found next to Oakridge Centre, Vancouver’s premier shopping mall. Just a 10-minute walk from our Oak Townhomes, this station will take you right into the downtown core. You’ll want to stop at a few points of interest around our great city:

Yaletown-Roundhouse: Yaletown is a trendy neighbourhood full of great places to shop, eat, and people-watch. From here you can also catch the Aquabus to various stops around False Creek, including Granville Island and Science World.

Vancouver City Centre: At the hub of Vancouver, this station is located on Granville Street, between West Georgia and Robson. Shop along Robson Street on a sunny day, or in Pacific Centre when the Vancouver rain hits. Stop here to also visit tourist attractions such as Robson Square, the Vancouver Art Gallery, and the entertainment district of Granville Street.

Waterfront: This station is within walking distance of Vancouver’s historic Gastown, the downtown campuses for Simon Fraser University and BCIT, Canada Place, and the Vancouver Convention & Exhibition Centre. Here you’ll also find direct access to the Expo and Millenium SkyTrain lines into the lower mainland.
