Closet Confessions: How To Organize Your Wardrobe

April 15, 2014

Organization doesn’t have to be intimidating, especially when you have ample storage space to work with. Our Oak Townhomes make life easier with not one, but two, walk-in closets in each three bedroom home. Both the master bedroom and the second bedroom are equipped with large walk-in closets to make the most out of your space. Here are a few tips that will have you wanting to keep that closet door open.

Storage space to fit your needs
With multiple rods, drawers, and open shelving, the Oak closets make it easy to organize your wardrobe. Choose uniformed hangers to hang dresses and suits for a clean look, and organize by garment type. Bonus points if you then colour code. Stow away folded items in drawers, and keep odds and ends hidden in decorative bins.

Maximize the vertical closet space with a shoe rack and laundry hamper that fit under the hanging rod. Ladies, keep accessories like scarves and purses in hanging organizers, so you can see them alongside your clothes. Getting dressed just got a whole lot easier!

Lighting is key
Proper lighting makes a closet even more functional. With large windows to let in natural light, our Oak closets offer a bright and airy space to get dressed in the morning. Too dark? Inside, each walk-in closet has optimal lighting for the end of the day.

Stylish comfort
A closet is an extension of your bedroom, and we’ve designed the Oak closets with that in mind. Your closet should act as a place of inspiration, so we’ve opted for fresh, neutral walls and wood that allows your wardrobe to take centre stage. The 100% wool carpet by Colin Campbell gives your bare feet a treat after your morning shower, while the generous square footage makes sharing closet space a breeze.

Come by our 3-Bedroom Display Home and Presentation Centre at 6100 Oak Street (Corner of 46th and Oak St). Open daily (except Fridays) from 12PM – 5PM.
