Buyer Resources
Moving to a new home is very exciting, but it can also add some stress to your busy life.
To make moving a stress-free process, you need to start early and be organized. Below is a list of things to remember:
- Organize a moving truck – Whether you’re renting the truck and moving yourself, or hiring a truck and a crew, you should plan this as far ahead as possible. Trucks and movers can book up fast, particularly on weekends and at month-end.
- Arrange school transfers – If you have children, you should arrange for them to transfer to the school in your new district (Vancouver / Burnaby).
- Start packing – Begin with things you don’t use often. Be sure to label all the boxes clearly so you can find things when unpacking.
- Contact the post office – Set up your change of address so mail can be forwarded. Click for more details.
